Questions answered

Everything you need to know.

From collections and turnaround times to postal bookings, results and
what we can clean, you’ll find the most common Box Fresh questions below.

Before you book

Clear answers. No guesswork.

Every pair is different, but the booking process is straightforward.

We assess each item individually, explain what can realistically be
achieved and use the most suitable treatment for the materials involved.

01

Booking & collection

How does this work?

Book your shoes through the Book Now page.
We will then arrange for a courier to contact you and agree a
convenient time to collect them.

Your footwear is taken to the workshop, photographed before
treatment, cleaned or restored as instructed, photographed again
and then returned at an agreed time.

How do I book a collection?

Select Book Now from the website menu and
complete all required details. Please describe the service needed
as clearly as possible.

Can I drop my shoes off?

Yes. You can drop footwear directly into the Glasgow workshop
during opening hours. No appointment is necessary.

Do you need the box or dust bag?

We prefer to receive the footwear only. This makes storage and
labelling easier. Your shoes will be packaged carefully before
return so they remain protected during transport.

02

Pricing & turnaround

How much does it cost?

Cleaning prices range from £25 to £65 depending on the service
required. Small repairs and specialist work are priced separately.
Kids’ footwear in size 2 and under is available at a reduced rate.

Check the Services & Pricing page for
the latest details before booking.

How long does it take?

Once collected, your footwear enters the cleaning queue. We aim
to complete and return every order as quickly as possible, but
turnaround can vary during busy periods.

Stubborn stains, repairs or more involved restoration may require
additional time. The team will keep you updated where necessary.

Do you charge extra for designer or luxury brands?

No. Standard cleaning prices are fixed unless the footwear needs
additional specialist work. Every pair receives the same level of
care regardless of brand.

03

Results & restoration

Will they look brand new when you’re done?

Our aim is always to recover as much of the original appearance as
safely possible. Naturally, not every stain, mark or area of wear
can be removed completely.

We use the professional techniques available to achieve the best
realistic result. Visit the Showcase page
and social channels to view genuine before-and-after examples.

I damaged the leather in a washing machine. Can you fix it?

We have successfully improved footwear affected by washing-machine
damage, although the final result depends on the material and the
extent of the damage.

Professional cleaning before the damage occurs is usually far less
expensive than trying to restore footwear afterwards.

Do you clean counterfeit shoes or bags?

Yes. However, counterfeit items are often made using different or
lower-quality materials, so they may not respond in the same way
as genuine products.

We cannot guarantee that copied footwear or bags will achieve the
same finish as genuine items when cleaned, painted or restored.
We will still use our best professional judgement and aim for the
strongest result possible.

04

Postal service

Can I post my shoes to you?

Yes. Box Fresh operates a UK-wide postal service. Complete the
booking form first and select the option confirming that you are
posting your footwear to us.

Read the full Postal Service page
before sending your items.
